Gitaro Shamo (Gitaro Game Fowls), which appear in a famous Japanese comic book “Oishinbo”, are yard fowls raised with carefully selected feed and the water drawn up from a depth of 300 meters underground.
Shamo is a species of fowl, highly valued as a god’s fowl for a long time. Its meat has a reputation for the tastiness. Shamo fowls used to have scarcity value and an extremely few people could eat them.
Mr. Gitaro Hayashi wanted more people to taste Shamo fowls. He had been studying Shamo fowls for many years, and finally improved them to have better taste, which were named as “Gitaro Shamo”. Shamo fowls here are raised with plenty of confidence in taste.
